08/05/2010  - Moors Youth and Elmore FC come together !

Elmore AFC and the Moors Youth Football club have joined in a partnership to bring football for every age group in Tiverton.

Alan Cockram and Neville Crocker of Elmore has said the two organisations have been working together for many years now and the partnership is really a natural progression on the close links between the two clubs.Moors youth will remain a youth based group currently providing football for over 230 juniors aged 6 to 15.


Elmore provide Western league football, as well as an u18 side and will expand to incorporate an u16 side. Moors youth are working towards the Community Development Standard and the close ties provide a cornerstone to this standard.


Elmore will benefit from a progression of juniors aiming to aspire to Western league football and beyond.

Jed Hewitt the previous secretary at Moors Youth and now the Elmore u18 manager has been instrumental in the development of this arrangement and chairs the sub - committee charged with looking into the merits of the link reports that there are so many positives and no negatives, it will give Moors youth a home something it has been looking for over the past ten years as well as the Elmore facilities.

Phil Chant from Moors who has been highly instrumental in bringing about the formal connections also added that he felt the move would be above all good for the youth of Tiverton. Elmore will benefit from the strength and depth of the Moors youth player base in the future years.

Eaglets to Eagles or juniors to seniors, the partnership are the only clubs in Tiverton providing football at every age group in practical terms and both clubs are committed to developing a high standard of football for local based players.
